Security cam captures moment truck skids on wet road and slams into electricity post

A pickup truck skidded out of control and crashed into an electricity post before the driver allegedly ran away from the scene.

CCTV footage from a school building shows the vehicle carrying a cargo of logs skidding in heavy rain before clattering head-on into the concrete post.

The driver then left allegedly left the scene of the accident in Songkhla, southern Thailand on May 6th.

Emergency units rushed to the scene, but no one was there. Police are now checking he surveillance footage and questioning the witness nearby to find the driver as the registration plate could not be traced.

Lieutenant Colonel Ning Somboom from the Sadao district police station said: ''The driver crashed because of the wet road and slippery conditions.

''However, we are suspicious because they fled the scene. So, we need to find them to check why they ran away.''
