This evening, in Mongkok, as riot police was heavily deployed to prevent protesters from taking to the streets after a dramatic afternoon in the Legislative Council, Hong Kong's parliament, some locals were seen dancing to the tune of mainland singers on Argyle street. Nearby riot police turned a blind eye to the group which was obviously beyond 8 persons, thus violating the regulation on the prohibition of gathering in Hong Kong. Earlier today, police fined people in the IFC mall, as they were partaking in a "sing with you" protest.
