This is the surreal moment two turtle hatchlings emerge from the nest in eastern India's Odisha.

The incident took place at the Gahirmatha beach off the Bay of Bengal on May 8.

Visuals showed the hatchlings crawling out of the burrow, where the mother turtle had laid her eggs.

Once out, the turtle hatchlings will make their way towards the sea.

The event marks the culmination of the annual arribada- a synchronised, large scale nesting of some sea turtle- of these marine species.

According to reports, at least two crores (20 million) of Olive Ridley hatchlings have emerged at once and have made their way to the sea.
