On the 8th of May , "The Youth block" organized its own rehearsal for the parade. Activists, waving flags, carried the coffin along Independence Avenue. The day before, they also held an action dedicated to the parade and a festive concert.

"We have great respect for veterans. Victory day is an important day. But if you participate in a mass event, you risk not only your own life, but also the lives of others. This is not what our grandparents fought for, " the activists say.

The day before, activists held a action on Victory square. Several young people were photographed against the background of the inscription "the Feat of the people is immortal". In their hands they held posters with the continuation of the phrase:" we are not."

"The Youth block" writes about itself as follows: "We are an Association of young activists whose goal is to draw attention to issues that are relevant to Belarusian youth. "The youth block" unites all concerned people to declare that we are tired of the government's disregard for our problems. We do not agree with the current order of things." The activists were detained on May 9 by the authorities.
