Kind-hearted people help pregnant woman giving birth on Chinese roadside
A number of kind-hearted people in eastern China helped a pregnant woman who suddenly gave birth on a roadside on May 4.
The CCTV video, shot in the city of Taizhou in Zhejiang Province and provided by local media, shows a pregnant woman standing at the roadside while people around her aided her in giving birth.
A woman named Chen then took a blanket out from her shop and ran to wrap the baby up immediately, while Chen's mum took a stool for the pregnant woman to sit on, as well as put a scarf on her.
A man named Zhou who is also a nearby shop owner called the paramedics and the ambulance.
Chen was reportedly squatting and holding the new-born baby for around 10 minutes until the ambulance arrived.
According to reports, both the mother and the baby were safe and they have already been discharged from hospital.
