Police personnel gave face masks to several residents during large-scale social restrictions to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus in northeast India's Sikkim.

The incident took place at Mangan on May 8.

The video shows several police officials intercepting people who were travelling without facemasks.

Following this, the officers explain to them the need for a facemask in containing the COVID-19 outbreak.

Later, they provide them with facemasks and ask them to follow the social distancing guidelines put in place amid the nationwide coronavirus lockdown.
