Impressive views of a bat flying in front of the supermoon which lit up night skies around the world this month

Junjie Magsico, 30, captured the scene in Makati City in Manila, the Philippines, on May 7.

Footage show the moon glowing large and bright in the night sky but with a bat's silhouette in front of it. Because of the creature's closeness to the camera, it appeared that was flying around the lunar surface.

Junjie said: ''When I saw that super moon I was amazed and it reminded me there's a reason to live. It gave me hope to know there is something greater than the earth we live on.''

In the second part of the video, the photographer then recorded the moon again on May 8.

This month's supermoon - the third and final one of the year - is known as the Flower Moon because of its occurrence in Spring.
The phenomenon happens when the celestial satellite reaches its closest point to Earth - known as a perigee - and is on the opposite side of Earth to the sun.
