Chinese firemen rescue tourist trapped on 400-foot-high zipline after equipment failure
Firefighter in northern China rescued a tourist trapped on a nearly 400-foot-high zip line due to equipment failure.
The video, shot in the city of Xingtai in Hebei Province on May 12, shows a man dangling helplessly in the middle of the perilously high zip line.
A fireman was seen putting on safety equipment and attached to the ropes before sliding over to approach the man.
After the fireman put a helmet and other protective gear on the tourist, as well as checking the man's condition, other firefighters pulled the safety ropes slowly to bring them back to safety.
After around 30 minutes, the man was rescued successfully. Fortunately, he was not injured.
The video was provided by local fire brigade with permission.
