Gertrude

Gertie came to Loving All Animals as a stray. She had been given up by her original owner back in 2015 and went to another home where she was unfortunately not cared for and consequently escaped, only to roam the streets in Coachella, California for 5 years. The previous owners were contacted thanks to her being microchipped, but they were not interested in having her back so she was taken in by our shelter and immediately adopted by their Executive Assistant, Lisa Knox. She was emaciated and weighed just over 2lbs. She had no teeth which gives her that fantastic tongue-filled smile. She has gained weight and bonded with her new fur-sisters. She has made a complete transformation thanks to the love of her mommy and numerous dedicated animal advocates that assisted in her rescue, care, and recovery. Loving All Animals is a Coachella, California based non-profit rescue organization serving the larger Coachella Valley. They have been saving the communities homeless pets since 2008 and are now one of the most recognized animal rescues in Southern California. They rely entirely on donations and grants to do the work they do and are looking to expand operations in the near future including construction of a new shelter building to enable them to help even more animals find loving homes.
