Crowds flocked to a shopping mall in Bangkok, Thailand, which re-opened this today after the country eased its COVID-19 restrictions.

Footage shows residents entering the Fortune Town building while having to scan QR codes, use sanitising gel and have temperature checks.

The strict measures - including non-residents having to hand over their passport details - have been issued to allow the authorities to trace and test people if there is a second coronavirus spike.

Thailand has recorded single digit numbers of new Covid-19 cases for most days in May.
