Eight-year-old girl covers herself with live bees to spread awareness on World Bee Day in southern India
People in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu were in for a surprise when an eight-year-old girl allowed bees to cover her body, in an attempt to spread the awareness about the importance of these insects.
The incident took place in Beekeeping farm located on Palani - Kodaikanal road on May 19.
The video shows the girl, Reemas, sitting patiently as the insects slowly start to cover her body.
According to the reports, Reemas and her father Ishaq decided to spread awareness about bees this world bee day on May 20.
The beekeeping has also seen an increase in the production of honey and profitability.
