An amazing sight of common dolphin 'superpod' was spotted in Laguna Beach, California, on Saturday (May 16), where many were jumping in and out of the water.

According to Newport Coastal Adventures, seeing a pod of 200 to 500 is common in Orange County but not 1,000.

"Some lucky families got to experience what it's like to be amongst at least 1,000 dolphins," the filmer said. "We are only currently running private charters for families who live in the same household... we are operating limited capacity trips currently where you get a private Zodiac to yourself."
