A group of volunteers from a wildlife rescue team rescued a small goat that had fallen into a well in the west Indian state of Maharashtra.

The incident took place in Darewadi village, Ahmednagar district on May 17.

The video shows, one of the volunteers putting on safety gears and getting into the well.

After which he catches hold of the baby goat and comes upholding it with one hand.

They are even seen trying to wipe the water from the goat as it was in the well for a long time.

According to the reports, the residents of the village had called the rescue personnel on noticing the goat inside the well.

The volunteers arrived at the spot immediately and rescued the goat from the well.

A villager stated that, if there would have been a delay of volunteers arriving and rescuing the goat, it would have not survived.
