Longer Version_Fascinating moment elephant stands on hind legs to pluck jackfruit from 7.6-metre-long tree in southern India
A hungry elephant was seen plucking jackfruit from a tree in the southern Indian state of Kerala.
The incident took place in Silent Valley National Park of Palakkad district on May 19.
Visuals showed the elephant standing on its hind legs to elevate itself and reach the fruits.
Once the trunk reaches the jackfruit, the elephant grips the fruit and rips it from the tree.
According to the reports, the incident was witnessed by forest watchers Bijo Baby, Thomas John, Manikandan, Kurumban and Suresh K.
