Heat warning in effect at three day summer like heatwave hits Toronto Canada, the hot and humid weather brought people out to the beach and boats out on Lake Ontario but at least today it appeared that more people followed the strict COVID 19 physical distancing rules compared to the chaos on the weekend at Woodbine beachy and Trinity Bellwoods park.

City of Toronto

First heat event of the season continues through Wednesday.

High daytime temperatures are forecast to be in the low thirties Tuesday and Wednesday. Humidex values in the mid to upper thirties are also expected. There may be some relief near the lakeshores.

Extreme heat affects everyone.

The risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.

Drink plenty of water even before you feel thirsty and stay in a cool place.

Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.

Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
