Two men rescued a dog who had perched itself on a building’s ledge to shelter from cyclone Amphan.

Footage filmed in the Dunlop area of Kolkata on May 21, a day after the super cyclone battered the city, shows two men rescuing the dog who clearly looks afraid to come down.

One of the men, who had climbed up a wall, is seen gently picking up the scared dog before passing it on the other man who is standing below.

The two men are then seen walking through floodwater to take the dog to safety.

Two men rescued a dog who had perched itself on a building’s parapet to get shelter after cyclone Amphan ravaged the eastern Indian state of West Bengal.

The incident took place on May 21 in Dunlop region near Kolkata, formerly known as Calcutta, after the super cyclone battered the city and neighbouring districts on May 20.

Kolkata had been badly hit by the super cyclone Amphan, with waterlogged streets.

Scared and feeling helpless, the dog went up on a building’s parapet and got stuck there.

Visual showed two men rescuing the dog who is clearly afraid to come down. With love and care, the men manage to rescue the quadruped and carry it to safety.

One man climbed up the wall of the building and came to an even level with the dog.

Later, the man was seen getting up on the wall and gently picking up the scared dog.

The other man standing below takes the dog in his arms and pat on its shoulder so that the dog does not feel scared.
