Thousands of Brits hit the beach today (May 30th) as government advisors warned against easing lockdown measures too soon.

Government advisers have voiced concern over the decision to lift England’s lockdown while thousands of people a day are still becoming infected with the coronavirus, warning that loosening restrictions could easily lead to a second wave.

But that warning didn't seem to bother the hundreds of people who flocked to Weymouth Beach in Dorset to enjoy the sunshine.

Government advisers warning against the easing of lockdown measures from Monday is too soon.With fears that this could cause a second spike in coronavirus cases, Sir Jeremy Farrar and Professor John Edmunds, both members of the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage), which advises the Government on the pandemic, have said ministers were taking risks by following through with their current plans.

According to the scientists, the number of daily coronavirus cases remain "relatively high", therefore the gradual reopening of schools and shops and larger gatherings to meet privately is a concern.

But visitors to Weymouth Beach in Dorset don't seem too worried.
