This is typically what happens in Kruger when one spots a nice sighting of a Leopard !
Going through some of my videos on file while on Coved19 Lockdown I came upon this Gem !
We were the first and only car there when other cars stopped out of curiosity as it was near Gate/Camp closing time.
The Leopard actually stalked an Impala but was spotted(excuse the pun) and gave up the hunt. He walked in our direction and I positioned the
vehicle such a way that he ended up right at my window. Not an easy task when you are steering, reversing and filming at the same time.
Then the "chase" started - all the cars jostling to get a good spot forgetting for a minute or 2 about the closing times of the Camps and exit Gates.
A piece of the Leopard's tail is missing which was probably lost as a cub or in a territorial fight with another male - nobody cared at this stage -
all eyes was just focused on the beauty of the Leopard itself.
The amazing thrill of finding and following a wild Leopard(in the road!) in such a vast space is exhilarating !
What an experience ! I also have a follow-up video of where we follow the same Leopard for a few hundred meters in the road until he finally
disappeared into the bushes.
Video may be edited if needed.
