Photographer Tommy Andersson captured these images at Lake Tåsjö and rivers Storån and Långan in Sweden.

As Tommy explains the cold spring has delayed the arrival of melt water in parts of northern Sweden, so to prevent flooding the hydro power companies have almost emptied the lakes to decrease the risk of floods.

Lake Tasjo is located at 252 meters above sea level and is part of a system of hydro power stations that connect all the way to the coast, 197 kilometres away.
