Collection of protected animals in the Bandung Zoo, West Java Province, Indonesia, increased again after the birth of a Javan Lutung baby.

The Lutung baby, named Remon Covid, is the son of a male couple named Albert and a female named Luluk.

Baby Lutung was given the name Remon Covid because he was born in the middle of a coronavirus pandemic on May 3, 2020.

At present, the condition of the Lutung baby is healthy and continues to hang on to its mother.

Lutung Guide Keeper Aep Saepudin said, with the birth of the Lutung, the Bandung Zoo now has a collection of four langurs with varying ages.

"Every day the langurs are fed vegetables, fruits and raw tempeh. Even though the zoo is closed due to coronavirus, we continue to care for the animals that are here," said Aep, Thursday 4 June 2020.

Aep said, as in ordinary mammal babies, this Lutung received more attention, especially from its parent and looked like the mother was very caring or protective of the child who was a month old.

"In addition to providing the necessary food and nutritional intake we continue to monitor the development of this Lutung baby," said Aep
