Several hundreds of protesters gathered in Victoria Park, Hong Kong on Thursday (June 4) to commemorate the anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre.

Towards the end of the vigil, a small group of approximately 50 protesters started marching around the park calling for Hong Kong independence.

They protesters waved flags with signs reading "Liberate Hong Kong" and chanted “One Hong Kong, One Nation.”

The footage was filmed on June 4.

Several hundreds protesters came to Victoria park, to commemorate the anniversary of the Tienanmen massacre, which took place in Beijing on 4 June 1989. This protest was prohibited by the Hong Kong police under the regulations aiming at prohibiting gatherings to prevent the diffusion of the Covid19 coronavirus. Despite this, protesters came in discrete numbers to the park. Towards the end, a small group or around 50 protesters started marching around the park with flags demanding Hong Kong Independence and with chants such as “One Hong Kong, One Nation”. The protest ended peacefully, with protesters dispersing in the calm towards Causeway Bay.
