Several hundreds of protesters flooded the streets of Hong Kong on Thursday (June 4) to commemorate the anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre.

The masses are seen heading towards Victoria Park where a vigil was held marking the anniversary of the massacre.

Towards the end of the vigil, a small group of approximately 50 protesters started marching around the park calling for Hong Kong independence.

The footage was filmed on June 4.

Despite the commemoration of the Tienanmen massacre being prohibited by the Hong Kong police on grounds of public health (to stop the COVID19 diffusion, officially), protesters flooded the streets of Causeway Bay this evening, obliging the police to withdraw one by one all the cordons they established to canalize the flux of protesters. After two hours within Victoria park, the protest ended peacefully.
