Places of worship in Indonesia are reopening in Indonesia as COVID-19 restrictions are eased.

Footage filmed on June 5 at the Al-Markaz Al-Islami Mosque in Makassar shows worshippers attending congressional Friday prayers.

Before entering the mosque, worshippers were asked to wear masks and had their body temperature checked.

After 12 weeks of prohibition on praying in congregation at the mosque, starting Friday, June 5, 2020, the Friday prayer in congregation at the mosque was reopened by the Indonesian government.

As seen in the Al Markaz Al Islami Mosque in Makassar City, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, thousands of Muslims pray in congregation. Implementation was carried out in compliance with health protocols for the prevention of the Covid-19 outbreak.
