A Kent property dubbed 'Cliffhanger' on the Isle of Sheppey has been relinquished from its foundations after a landslide on the cliff edge on May 31.

The footage captured on June 5 shows the ruins of the Eastchurch family home that is estimated to be worth £200,000.

The family were safely evacuated after the initial part of the landslide but eventually, the whole building surrendered to the eroding cliff, which consumed their car as well on June 2.

Local MP, Gordon Henderson, has now asked the Leader of the House of Commons if he could find time for a debate on Natural England's decision to object to any proposal that would stop the erosion of cliffs on Sheppey, with several other properties now at risk.
