Citizens chanting slogans at June 4 Tiananmen Massacre Candlelit Vigil
Thousands of citizens defied a ban from the police to join the June 4 Tiananmen Massacre Candlelit Vigil. Unlike previous years, they did not only chant anti-China slogans but also slogans from last year's anti-extradition bill protest such as "Liberate Hong Kong, Revolution Now" and slogans calling for Hong Kong independence. This is also the first time in 30 years when police banned the candlelit vigil in Hong Kong.
