This was the lucky moment a tuk tuk driver appeared unscathed after narrowly avoiding a car before crashing into a van, which was parked nearby.

Footage shows the driver leaping out seconds before crashing into the van before he gets back on his feet safely.

The incident occurred at Balawadi road in Chikmagalur in southern India on June 5.

“The car started rolling down the slope as its driver had left it in neutral. If the van was not parked there, the tuk-tuk would have ploughed into a few people who were at the spot,” said an eyewitness.

This was the moment a tuk tuk driver veered sharply to avoid a car but crashed into a van, which was parked nearby.

The driver leapt out dramatically just before the accident and got back on his feet safely though the accident left his vehicle badly damaged.

The incident occurred at Balawadi road in Chikmagalur in southern India on June 5.

The tuk tuk was speeding on the road when a driverless car, which was parked on the side, started rolling on its own. To avoid it the tuk tuk driver made a sharp turn and rammed into a van, which was used by a hospital, as an ambulance.

The lucky man, who escaped without a scratch, has filed a complaint at Koppa police station.
