Protesters laid down in the middle of the road in front of the white house for eight minutes and 46 seconds in memory of George Floyd.

The filmer told Newsflare: "In an effort to combat the sentiment that protests were violent and leading to looting and riots, protesters marched from the United States Capitol to the White House.

"Along the way, protesters laid on Pennsylvania Ave for eight minutes and 46 seconds to honour the memory of George Floyd. The eight minutes and 46 seconds were representative of the eight minutes and 46 seconds that Mr Floyd lay on the ground in Minneapolis, Minnesota with the knee of Officer Derek Chauvin pressed against his neck, leading to his death."
