Pedestrians in the UK blocked the busy M6 motorway in Coventry on Sunday.

Eyewitness video shows a group of people walking between junctions 3 and 2 in Warwickshire. The action led to the closure of the road, police said.

According to the Coventry Live website, a large crowd of people who had attended the Black Lives Matter protest in Coventry city centre earlier in the day broke off from the main rally and made their way to the motorway shortly before 6pm.

"I was driving back to work and came to a stand still and roughly 200 protesters were walking down the motorway on the M6," said the filmer, who wishes to remain anonymous.
