A griffon vulture is seen flying in circles in the swiss Alps from a rather close distance.
Filmed in slow motion, mute ( no sound ) .
Griffon vultures are huge birds with a wingspan that can reach up to 2.8 meters
They are rather rare in Switzerland, only visiting for a few months in summer, searching for food. They usually come from southern France or Spain.
This took place in the mountains north of Conthey in southwestern Switzerland.
