Elderly patient in India tied to bed after family fails to pay hospital bill
Distressing footage shows an 80-year-old man tied to her hospital bed in central India after her family failed to pay the hospital bill.
Laxminarayan's family were accused of failing to pay a 11,270 Indian rupee (£117) bill by a private hospital in Shajapur.
The patient's daughter claims when her father was admitted they paid 6,000 rupees and deposited 5,000 after a few days. Upon discharge the hospital asked the family to pay them 11,270 more rupees.
Laxminarayan says that both his legs were tied with rope and they are not giving him food.
