Former NBA star Stephen Jackson was joined by Charles Oakley and Al Harrington on the steps of the Hennepin County Government Center on the evening of Thursday, June 11 speaking to a large crowd gathered to demand justice for George Floyd before a march through downtown Minneapolis. "It's bigger than my brother. And it's bigger than me," he said. "Last time I was here, I seen too many mothers crying that had no justice, that had no Stephen Jackson to speak up for their sons. And so, I feel it's my duty to not only fight for justice for my brother, but to ease the pain of these mothers who never had justice or never had a voice." Jackson went on to say, "Minnesota Police Department, I think ya'll messed up. I think this where ya'll got things f*cked up at. Ya'll didn't know Floyd had a brother that was a professional athlete. Ya'll didn't know he had a brother that was gonna put his life on the line for his brother. But see if they would've paid attention, they would've seen in 2005 when I ran into the stands for my teammate. I am my brother's keeper. And I will be continue to be my brother's keeper. Money never made me. Material things never made me."
