After weeks closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, mosques in the world's most populous Muslim nation have reopened their doors to worshippers.

Those attending Friday prayers today at the Nurul Iman mosque in Padang in Indonesia's West Sumatra are seen wearing masks and washing their hands. Temperatures were also checked and once inside the mosque, worshippers maintained a distance from each other.

The Great Mosque of Nurul Iman, Padang City, West Sumatra Province, Indonesia returned to Friday prayers after not having been held because of the corona virus pandemic. The Friday prayer (12/6), every congregation must follow the Covid-19 health protocol. the gate that was opened was only one of the two entrances in the mosque. At the entrance gate, there are already Satpol PP personnel who will examine the pilgrims that is related to the completeness of the masks. Then, every pilgrim must wash their hands first. Furthermore, before entering the mosque, worshipers will be checked by their body temperature Satpol PP personnel. Inside the mosque, the worshipers are distance from each other. Therefore, the caretaker of the mosque made a guide for worshipers. That is, worshipers may only sit at the point that has been given a black slasiban. From observations in the field, pilgrims adhere to the rules of this health protocol.
