Indonesian officials have released two Sumatran tigers into the wild in an attempt to boost the critically endangered species' numbers.

Riau Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) set free the tigers after they were evacuated and rehabilitated for almost two years.

This footage was filmed on June 12 in Riau.

We are team from Riau Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) and ARSARI Foundation will releasing two Sumatran Tiger to the wild First, we will be releasing Atan Bintang. And officially we will be releasing him at Riau Natural Conservation.

My name is Heru Sukmantoro. I am as a head at sub second region at BKSDA Riau.
Two of Sumatran Tiger namely Atan Bintang and Bonita are two tigers were evacuated more than a year ago at Tembilahan, Pulau Burung in Indragili Hilir district, We’re able to evacuated and send them to get rehabilitation at Dharmasraya Sumatran Tiger Center Rehabilitation-ARSARI Djojohadikusumo Foundation After get rehabilitation more less one and half year for Bonita and a year for Atan Bintang Then, to commemorated International Tiger Day.

So, we will be releasing two Sumtran Tiger to wild. In this habitat were less population of Sumatran Tiger
We continuously have precaution acts by regularly patrol at their habitats as their living place
The population of Sumatran Tiger life index either in Indonesia or international are in level to concern about
But we’re must stay in fight to keep Sumatran Tiger in their habitat and also support from people either they living nearest in natural conservation or publics.
We’re must consistent to safe the Sumatran Tiger.
