This impressive timelapse video captures how this Spanish man intricately sculpts a beautiful wood-carving in Barcelona.

Bernat M, a professional woodcarver and woodworker, is shown ensembling four pieces of 20x20 to create the main base. He then carves the piece using chisels, knives, and gouges, before drawing the pattern onto the wood.

Bernat finishes the piece with Bitumen of Judea, an asphalt used since ancient times, wax and linden seed oil.

This particular work was filmed on March 18, and in total took him over 30 hours to complete.

In this video, Bernat (myself), the only person behind Wood Bern Carvings, is seen carving a 40x40x2cm American basswood piece into a wooden wall art piece.
The music used is from Marc Rebillet (first 2 songs) from his livestreams on his social media accounts and the ending song is by the Polish band 'FLUE' called 'Influence'.
The beginning shows how he is ensembling 4 pieces of 20x20 to create the main 40x40cm piece. Patricio Echegoyen, an Uruguayan carpenter, luthier & Architect residing in Barcelona helped in this process.

Bernat carves the piece using hand tools such as chisels, knives and gouges. He draws the pattern right onto the wood after a small version design on paper.
For finishing the piece he used Bitumen of Judea mixed with wax for the dark patterns and linden seed oil for the white parts.
The piece took approximately 30 hours to carve or more.
