Boat damaged in rough seas Beaufort inlet North Carolina
During a Big rock fishing tournament in North Carolina a 60 foot Sport fisherman came in to Beaufort Inlet snd suffered major damage . Winds were Southwest 20 to 30 knots with out going tide As the boat enter the inlet she hit a large wave the boat dropped directly into the toe of the next wave The sheer power of the impact was enough to break the bow on the boat A captain on another boat rendered assistance By communicating the damage to the captain on board The captain Was able to power up and bring the boat back on the plane Into safe waters . This was a bad situation that turned out well
