Filipino Spider-Man fan celebrates Philippine Independence Day by wearing a Spider-Man suit design inspired by his country's national flag. Carlo Angelo Garces, 32, from Mandaluyong City, wore the suit as a means to celebrate the day in adherence to the state's protocol of wearing masks in public areas as a means to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the country. Also wearing a tag which reads "Maligayang Araw ng Kalayaan!" (Happy Independence Day!), this is his way of commemorating the country's 112th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence while bringing fun, cheer and awareness to the people around him. It is also his way to pay tribute to all frontliners, our new heroes, fighting for "freedom" against the deadly disease.
