"Glory to Hong Kong" and "Liberate Hong Kong" in Mongkok
The blind lawyer, Ms. Joy Luk, who is regularly a fixture of the pro-democracy protests performed "Glory to Hong Kong" on her flute, while other protesters chanted "Liberate Hong Kong, revolution of our times" in front of the Langham Place shopping mall. Protesters were celebrating the protests of 12 June 2019, which successfully stopped the examination of the extradition bill, but also started a cycle of several months of violence which culminated in the paroxystic siege of PolyU in November 2019.
