Local authorities in Bengaluru, south India sprayed disinfectant in public places to curb the spread of COVID-19.

The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), the body responsible for civic amenities and some infrastructural assets in the Greater Bangalore metropolitan area, deployed workers on Monday (June 15) to disinfect locations where COVID-19 cases were reported.

Preventing the spread of COVID-19 and disinfecting the public places across Bengaluru as a precautionary measure, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) on Tuesday took up massive sanitisation drive in central parts of Bengaluru, The civic body has also initiated to spray the disinfectant at locations where COVID-19 positive cases have been reported in the city.
