This was the shocking moment a driver rammed their vehicle into a crowd of protesters in Portland, Oregon on June 17.

Footage shows protesters on SW 3rd Ave when a car drives into the crowd.

An altercation involving a water bottle occurred moments before resulting in an argument with protesters and in response, a male went to his car and drove into the crowd.

Daniel Salters who livestreamed the protest and incident said: "A woman threw a water bottle at people...Protesters argue with the woman and a male who approaches.

"The male runs away and then returns driving into protesters.

"I assume he is going back to possibly pick up the woman who threw the bottle, and then takes off when he realises she wasn't going to get in the car.

"He then circles the block and then drives off."
