Former leader of the English Defence League (EDL) Tommy Robinson lost his legal challenge against Cambridgeshire Police, in Peterborough Crown Court on Friday.

Robinson, appearing in court under his real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, accused the police of harassing him, after officers removed him from a Cambridge pub claiming that he was with a group of 'risk' fans, in the presence of his children, on August 2016.

The judge ordered that Robinson pay £20,000 towards the defendant's cost, to which Robinson said the judgement was "a proof of a corrupt system."

"How can we do in Britain when you can do nothing at all wrong? You can be out with your children, but you can be forcibly ejective in an entire city in front of your kids, where they can be forced and scared," he said.

In a tense exchange, Robinson called journalists "coward" and "disgraceful" for trying to associate him with the attack on two mosques in New Zealand's Christchurch which killed 49 people.
