False Bay Hospital nurses protest shortage of PPE and staff
Nurses at the False Bay Hospital in Fish Hoek embarked on a lunchtime protest because of a lack of personal protective equipment as well as a shortage of permanent nursing staff.
Nursing union, DENOSA (Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa), led the protest and accused Western Cape Health Minister, Dr Nomafrench Mbombo, of having not delivered on her promises of hiring more staff since 2018.
