Basically, myself and my younger sister both work away from home, I am a land surveyor based in London and my sister is a student nurse working for the NHS in Newcastle. I was due to visit home but a few weeks before going back the UK got put on lockdown, preventing anyone from travelling. My sister Chloe had volunteered to work full time and put her final year studies on pause which meant we both hadn’t been home or seen our family in 6 months. However, in recent weeks the UK government have lifted certain measures to allow us to see our grandparents from a safe distance. We therefore decided to surprise them both and as you can tell from there reaction, they were overwhelmed. We are all very close and love visiting home so it’s been a hard few months but it was worth the wait.
