In West Sumatra, a partial solar eclipse starts at 14.54 WIB, and ends at 15.37 WIB, with a peak at 14.47 WIB.
Although at the beginning of the sun's observations were seen, but when the eclipse began, the weather turned cloudy, so the sun and the eclipse were not visible.
Because of the eclipse of the sun, hundreds of Muslims perform eclipse circumcision prayers, in two cycles, to glorify the power of Allah.
Because it took place in the middle of the covid pandemic 19, the prayers were carried out using health protocols, such as saf spaced one meter away and worshipers wearing masks.
