A Black Lives Matter activist climbed on top of a red double decker bus, bringing the protest march to a halt as demonstrators stopped to demand that officers release the boy. Protesters can be heard chanting "let him go!" and "end police brutality". Thousands turned out to attend the London demonstrations, which were largely peaceful protests. Bus boy's details were taken by police, and he was eventually let go with a warning. Afterwards, protesters broke into applause and began chanting "George Floyd, say his name", in memory of George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, who was killed by police in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After the bus boy was released, some protesters pointed out that it was an example of racial profiling, as there were several white boys on the same street dancing on top of bus stop shelters who did not face questioning by police.
