Hundreds of people attended an illegal rave to celebrate the summer solstice on June 21.

Visitors to an ancient monument called the Nine Ladies just outside Matlock in Derbyshire, UK camped out over the weekend to watch the sunset and sunrise during the summer solstice.

Footage shows hundreds appearing to breach social distancing rules during the rave.

The filmer said: "Despite Derbyshire Police telling people not to attend and for residents to report such activity, it appeared no police action was taken to disperse the large group."

100s of people attended an illegal mass gathering to celebrate the summer solstice and rave late into the night. And despite coronavirus still being present in the UK little to no social distancing was taking place.
