Officials rescue children stranded in rising water in central India

In a miraculous rescue, police personnel along with State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and locals saved four children from drowning after they were left stranded in the middle of a rising river.

The incident took place at the Mayar River in the village of Jarha, Singrauli district on June 22, when high tide led to the dangerous rise of water levels.

According to local reports, the four children were fishing when high tide struck. The water level started rising and the children became trapped in the middle of the river.

Locals alerted rescue officials, several police teams who rushed to the spot to rescue the children.

With the help of locals, they used a rope to pull the children to safety. After a one-hour-long operation, they managed to bring children ashore.

According to local reports, the children were taken to a doctor for medical examinations and were declared healthy.
