A 17-year-old is brought to tears as he asks his stepdad to adopt him.

Donzell Powell, from Suffolk, Virginia, was surprised by Keon Wiggins, who reads a letter he penned to Powell, before getting emotional and unable to hold back tears.

Wiggins can be heard asking: “Where do I start? I love you with everything in me.

"You’re my dad, my father, my OG, my mentor, you’re everything to me.

“I thank god that you met my mom and did not give up on her or me. It takes a different kind of man to accept the responsibility that you did.

“If it was not for you, I promise you I’d either be in jail or dead. You saved my mother and I. You blessed me with a happy life.

"I want you to adopt me as your own. By adopting me, you become my legal father and earn all creditability for that man that I have become."

After a long embrace, Powell responds: “Hell yeah!"

Keon Wiggins was raised by his step-father, Donzell Powell, whom he asked to adopt him as a Father’s Day gift. The video was recorded by his little sister in his home on Father’s Day while his mother, Keona Powell, was present along with some other family members.
