Thousands of flying termites invade supermarket in Thailand
This is a astonishing moment a supermarket was invaded by thousands of flying termites.
The insects swarmed around the 7-Eleven store before buzzing inside in Udon Thani, northeastern Thailand on June 1.
Onlooker Watcharakorn Boonbutta recorded the terrifying scene as he stepped over the termites while visiting to buy groceries.
Watcharakorn said: ''This was more frightening than the pandemic. They took over the whole store.''
The flying termites, also known as swarmers, are believed to have come from a nearby farm. The creatures swarm in large numbers during hot weather when they are searching for new colonies.
