A Chinese driver intentionally hit the thief who stole his money and was released on bail in southern China.

In the CCTV footage captured in Nantong city, a car was chasing after a motorcycle and finally knocked it down. It’s reported that the motorcyclist stole the money from the car driver when the latter was washing earthworms beside a river.

The car driver chased the thief for three or four kilometres before knocking it down. The thief suffered a fracture in his left leg.

Police found the motorist a habitual thief and he admitted he stole the driver's money. The car driver was released on bail on suspicion of intentional injury.

The car driver said the stolen money was his rent for the next month.

The video was filmed on May 26 and provided by local media.
