Footage shows a hero delivery rider chasing a reckless driver who hit a cyclist and tried to escape.

Delivery man Teo JR Ceros Zanoria, 27, was about to go home after work when he witnessed the alleged hit-and-run in Caloocan City in Manila, the Philippines, on June 17.

The driver appeared to have hit a man on a bicycle who fell and went underneath the car because of the impact.

Teo said: "The driver turned off the lights on his car so people could not see him properly while he tried to escape."

Together with a police patrol car, Teo chased the driver along the national road until they have reached Quezon City which is several kilometres away.

The brave worker warned everyone to be more careful on the road if they don't want to be responsible for accidents with other people.

He added: "The reason why I installed the front camera is I want to help my fellow road users from the abusive and reckless drivers on the road."

The driver was caught and arrested. He was then taken to the hospital in order to pay the medical costs of his alleged victim.
